Ïîìèìî õîðîøèõ ïðîäàæ è âûñîêèõ îöåíîê â ïðåññå, àëüáîì ìîã ïîõâàñòàòüñÿ êîå‑÷åì åùå: Äýéâ Ãýàí, ïîñëå «Paper Monsters» ïîâåðèâøèé â ñåáÿ êàê ñî÷èíèòåëÿ, íà÷àë ïèñàòü òåêñòû äëÿ ãðóïïû, è «Playing The Angel» ñòàë ïåðâûì àëüáîìîì «Depeche Mode», â êîòîðîì íåêîòîðûå ïåñíè íàïèñàíû èì.
