Bacon and Deleuze: System and Sensation, the Questions of Contemporary Hysteria(Мамардашвили М. and Арто: Metaphisik of Madness)
Цель: to examine how artists paint sensation and thus to progress to a questioning of what sensation is.
Содержание: We are used in TV and film to the depiction of images that aim at causing an emotional reaction in us. But what happens when an artist tries to depict what it means to feel ? When we feel sensation what happens to our identity as individuals ? Gilles Deleuze’s analysis of the paintings of Francis Bacon forms the basis of an exploration of the question of sensation and the way sensation and painting might link to madness.
