Read the text and answer the questions:

Let me introduce myself. I am Mr. Hall. I am married. My wife, Elizabeth is very good at cooking. She is constantly complaining that I am a hearty eater and have a sweet tooth. No wonder I am getting stout. But I can't help it. You see she treats me to very delicious dishes every day.

We are an ordinary English family and we have three meals a day: breakfast, lunch and dinner. We usually have them at home, except for me. I have to dine at the place of my employment as my office is quite a long way from the house.

We seldom dine out. Normally we go out two or three times a month. We made up our minds to go to a restaurant last week. It happened logout tenth wedding anniversary and I thought that would be grand to have a romantic evening. So we went to a fine French restaurant as we both know that French food is very delicious.

Besides, French restaurants usually have a wonderful design. Our table was beautifully laid for two. A snow-white table cloth, candies, crystal wine glasses, silver spoons, forks and knives, everything contributed to the atmosphere of the special occasion.

Choosing the menu was not an easy matter because the menu was written in French. Moreover the choice was wide. The waiter did his best to help us. He advised to take vegetable salad to begin with. I agreed and my wife said that it wasn't to her taste. She preferred fish salad to it. She is fond of sea-food, you know. Tastes differ after all.

We were just eating our salads and drinking champagne when the waiter served the second course: an underdone beefsteak for me and well-done for my wife and French beans.

We also ordered some pickles as we both are keen on spicy food. After we had finished our main course various fruit was served for dessert.

We finished out wonderful dinner with a cup of coffee and a piece of strawberry cake. At the end of the dinner we thanked the waiter and said that we had enjoyed the meal enormously, though I must confess that my wife cooks better that any professional chef and next holiday we will celebrate at home, no doubt.

All through the dinner I kept looking at my wife who looked exceptionally beautiful in her long white evening dress. Listening to the quiet music the band was playing we remembered the time when we met each other and got married.
