Exercise VI.Study the function of the verb “to be” in the fallowing sentences and translate them:

1. They were at home last night.

2. He is well known scientist.

3. They are to leave Kyiv tonight.

6. She is an experienced manager.

7. The letter was sent by the secretary.

Exercise VII. Fill in the gaps with correct words in English:

1. Ecology is a (ïðîáëåìà) common for all mankind.
