warned her of the circumstances. 3. I cautioned him against
being late. 4. The boys must be warned not to go skating on the
pond: the ice is too thin.
(In formal contexts use cautionagainst/about).
stir - move
1. He held his breath, afraid to stir. 2. Move aside please. 3. He
