My Flat
We live in a multi-storeyed building which is situated not far from the centre of Moscow. If s a three-room flat with all modern conveniences, such as central heating, electricity, gas, cold and hot running water and telephone. The flat is well-planned and cosy, the furniture is modern and quite new.
The windows in the sitting-room face the park. In the evening the family gather here to rest, talk or receive guests. In the middle of the room there is a round table with six chairs round it & opposite the table there is a colour TV-set.
Against the wall there is a sideboard. On its shelves you can see wine glasses, goblets, china dishes and tea-sets. The walls in the room are papered blue and the curtains on the window match them. A thick carpet covers the floor.
In the corner of the bed-room there is a dressing table where we keep brushes, combs, lipstick. There is also a bed. a wardrobe and a mirror here.
If you go along the corridor you can see our kitchen. It's large and well-equipped. We've got a refrigerator, a microwave oven, a dishwasher. There is also an electric stove and a wash basin with a tap for hot and cold water in the kitchen. The walls are tiled, the ceiling is white-washed, the floor is covered with linoleum.
The bathroom has a built-in bath-tub with a shower and a wash-stand. There is a glass shelf over the wash-stand. On it you can see some sponges, soap-dishes, tooth-glasses with tooth-brushes and some tubes of tooth-paste. You can take a bath or a shower any time.
In the hall there is a hallstand for coats, hats and umbrellas. Besides, there is a small table for the telephone.
The flat is very comfortable and next week we're giving a housewarming party.

Хорошо было бы найти кого-нибудь, кто тоже нуждается в отдельном жилье. Мы бы могли поселиться вместе, и тогда плата за квартиру будет дешевле. Для начала надо почитать объявления в местной газете.
3) Я расскажу вам, где живут мои родители, и где жил я, когда учился в институте.
У англичан есть поговорка - "Мой дом - моя крепость". И это правда. Англичане гордятся своим домом. Мои родители живут в квартире в маленьком городе в пригороде Лондона. Они здесь живут всего 18месяцев. Квартира небольшая, но удобная. Здесь пять комнат, включая кухню и ванную. Вы, вероятно, слышали, в английском доме есть камин для отопления комнаты в холодные зимние вечера. Вынужден вас разочаровать, но в квартире моих родителей его нет, но есть все другие удобства - электричество, центральное отопление, газ, водопровод с горячей и холодной водой.
Скоро мои родители переезжают в дом. Они его только что купили. Там 6комнат - гостиная, столовая, кухня внизу, две спальни и ванная наверху. Есть также маленький чердак. Дом маленький, но совсем новый.
Мои родители с нетерпением ждут переезда, потому что мама может выбирать новую мебель, ковры, занавески. А папа может работать в саду.

Дом мистера Уайта небольшой, но удобный и хорошо спланированный. Это маленький двухэтажный особняк со всеми современными удобствами: электричеством, газом, центральным отоплением, горячей и холодной водой и телефоном. Но в доме нет мусоропровода.
Перед домом есть лужайка с множеством цветов. За домом есть маленький сад с множеством фруктовых деревьев.
На первом этаже находится кухня, кладовая, столовая и кабинет мистера Уайта. Есть детская, ванная комната и туалет. Стены в ванной кафельные. Мебель в квартире довольно новая и современная.
Если вы войдете в общую комнату, то увидите книжный шкаф с множеством книг и пианино, стоящие у стены. Посредине комнаты стоит стол и четыре стула вокруг него. В углу комнаты стоит телевизор и торшер. На стене висят картины. На полу лежит ковер. Но мистер Уайт должен заплатить много денег, прежде, чем назвать свой дом собственным.
