It's the 23rd of December, 10 o'clock in the morning. Mr. Smith has come to the Ministry of Foreign Trade. Now Marchenko is meeting Mr. Smith in the conference room.
Smith:
Good morning, Mr. Marchenko.
Marchenko:
Good morning, Mr. Smith. Will you take a seat?
Smith:
Thank you. It's very frosty in Kiev now, isn't it?
Marchenko:
Yes, it has been very cold this month.
Smith:
How is your business, Mr. Marchenko?
Marchenko:
Thank you, fine. We've just started selling machines of a new model and we've received a lot of orders for them.
Smith:
Yes, we know that. We havestudied your latest catalogues closely and we are interested in buying some machines of this model.
Marchenko:
Glad tohear that. The new model is certainly good. It's of very high quality.
Smith:
Well, Mr. Marchenko, I'd like to have your new contract form to look through it.
Marchenko:
Here you are, Mr. Smith.
Smith:
Thank you very much. Let's meet again next Wednesday and discuss the terms of the contract.
Marchenko:
